Round Round Life

Few weeks ago, I had the opportunity to went back to my hometown Sandakan for a seafood feast. My family brought me to the 傅貴林門海鮮餐廳Empire Seafood Restaurant . It is one of the best restaurant to endeavor seafood at Sandakan. I ordered my favourite dishes during the dinner. Below are the portions for 6 person. Appetizer: Soy sauce braised peanuts I was surprised that we didn't get extra charges for the appetizer. Sometimes restaurants will charge a little bit of money for the appetizer and wet tissue.  Condiments: Garlic, Chili 'Padi' and Lime Fragrant white rice RM 1.50 per bowl Normal hot chinese tea RM 0.50 per cup Here comes the main dishes: Garlic steam clam 蒜蓉蒸沙白（啦啦）RM 23 The garlic steam clam was so fresh smooth without any sand.  Dark soy sauce with deep fried squid （油爆苏东） RM 12 The squid was fried to crunchy perfection, and tossed with soy sauce to give it's dark colour and fragrance.  Specialty tou

Recently I came across these plastic free shop concept. Being environmentally friendly is one of the initiative that I am looking into. So after much planning and consideration (the nearest plastic free shop is at Petaling Jaya, which is about 30 min drive from our home), so we decided to go to the BYOB at Petaling Jaya. (Website:  https://www.byob.com.my/  ) Yesterday night I was so excited and I was clearing and washing those bottles that I have at home before I slept. This morning, we went to the shop. It was a very small shop lot, and we can't get parking. So my husband drive around the area while we go to the shop to refill the bottles. The shop is managed by a shopkeeper. I hand over the bottle to him, and he fills it up with the liquids I want. But the way the shopkeeper speak to us, as if I did something wrong that makes him so angry with me. I would happily gives him the "Worst Customer Service of the Year" award! To my disappointm

Today I am staying at Avangio Hotel Kota Kinabalu. Check in was smooth. They have the option to pay the bill upfront. So I have made my payment during check in. There's a bar next to the lobby PC area next to the restaurant. I am using the Mac to update my blog after dinner. First time using it. Not very used to it... I staying in a king room. RM 265 per night with breakfast.  TV and a study table. No room service here. The view from my room Tea making facilities See through bar. Toilet There's a rain shower. The toilet can be seen through from the room. There's a blind to cover it up if you are not feeling sexy with your roommate. Haha. Hair dryer. I hope hotels can purchase better hair dryer. These type of hair dryers dry very slow... Toothbrush only. They didn't supply the other toiletries like shower cap, ear buds etc… In line with their environmental friendly cause? Soap/
